We run multiple ports with different starting difficulties. Pick the one that matches your hardware — vardiff will adjust automatically from there.

💡 Tip: Not sure which port? Start with Mid (2333) — vardiff will quickly adjust to your hashrate. If you see lots of rejected shares at start, try a lower port.
⛏️ Renting hashrate? Check the rig description on MRR/NiceHash — rig owners often specify a minimum difficulty requirement. Pick a tier where the start diff meets or exceeds their requirement to avoid rejected shares.
📊 Hashrate fluctuations are normal. Pool hashrate is estimated from submitted shares — with higher tiers and large rented hashrate, shares are submitted less frequently, so the displayed hashrate may swing significantly over short periods. Over time it averages out to the actual hashrate. What matters is the number of shares submitted, not the momentary reading.
